Perpolis gives you ownership of and puts you in control of your own data; whether it’s your blog posts, status updates, pictures, bookmarks, address book, calendar, or to-do lists. The idea is simple: everything personal, such as a blog post or address book, should be yours. If you choose to have your blog hosted by, say, Blogger, or your address book hosted by Hotmail, then this may not be the case.
